Design & Engineering CPP has the largest in-house design and engineering team of any contractor in Australia, with over 150 specialists across Electrical Primary and Secondary, Civil, Structural, and SCADA disciplines. We provide end-to-end engineering solutions for high-voltage infrastructure, from nationally significant transmission projects, HV substations, wind farms and battery storage systems that drive Australia’s renewable energy transition. The Opportunity We are seeking a Principal Engineer – Primary to join our large in-house team of highly experienced engineers. You will hold both technical and supervisory responsibilities whilst overseeing the development of high-quality designs for primary high-voltage (HV) systems. You will collaborate with other Engineers and Designers within the business and develop designs associated with HV systems drawing upon your primary engineer expertise including Electrical Engineering Studies. Joining our in-house Design & Engineering Team consisting of over 140 highly experienced professionals, you will provide excellence in primary engineering and partner with our specialists in secondary, civil, structural, transmission lines and site services engineering. Bringing your experience with HV systems, you will be an integral part of our team and play a large role in the success of the various flagship projects CPP have won. About You To be successful in this role, you will possess: Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering or equivalent Demonstrated experience performing in a similar role in the renewable or utilities industry Expertise in substation design and/or utility grid connections Strong knowledge of Australian industry standards High-level communication and stakeholder management skills Be rewarded at CPP.
