Business Unit: Cubic Defense Company Details: The primary responsibility of a the Systems Administrator is to maintain simulation specific hardware and software and ensure its availability and performance. This includes performing preventative, corrective and standby maintenance services. Job Details: Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for the stability, security, efficiency, and scalability of the Navy Simulation Environment; Assist with integration of multiple simulation systems using simulation architecture; Provide technical advice and maintain delivery of effective day to day operations of RHEL server capabilities and system integration in the Linux environment Ensure that systems are maintained in accordance with the ISM in particular the Essential 8 Contribute to the design and implementation of infrastructure monitoring tools to enable the effective monitoring of system performance and capacity planning Liaise with vendors and key stakeholders in relation to incidents, problems, solutions and ongoing support arrangements, including adhering to change management processes and procedures Proactively maintain technical documentation for all existing operational and new ICT services, processes and procedures to support the management of deployed systems Contribute to a cohesive team environment, positive high performing culture and the development of continuous improvement of processes and practices to ensure business objectives and service delivery standards are achieved. Minimum Job Requirements: Qualifications Essential: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or IT-related discipline or equivalent experience, minimum Diploma level Skills/Experience/Knowledge Essential: 5 years’ experience in a systems administration role preferably in a medium - large IT environment; Experience administering production Linux and windows server environments. RHEL7/8 SELinux preferred; Demonstrated background of networking technologies, Cisco routing and switching preferred; Experience with the design, documentation and building of critical infrastructure; Exposure to DSPF or cyber security practices; Good personal and professional communication skills and ability to collaborate with all various stakeholders; You must be eligible for SECRET (NV1) level Defence security clearance, and preferably already hold a current SECRET (NV1) clearance.
