About this role Delivering 4 Customers (D4C) is a consortium comprising of industry leading Tier 1 organisations – John Holland, Service Stream and WSP. Sydney Water has partnered with D4C to deliver design, construction, maintenance and facilities management services across their southern region - from Bondi to Gerringong, and out to Georges River. D4C is seeking a contract administrator to join our dynamic, diverse and high performing team in an exciting time of growth. Primary Purpose As a Quantity Surveyor / Contract Administrator at D4C, you won't just manage a portfolio; you'll be a part of something transformative. Key Accountabilities Perform comprehensive cost analysis, covering all phases from initial calculations to final financial assessments, ensuring no cost leakage and completeness of claims. Ensure compliance of all upstream and downstream activities performed within portfolio, in accordance with the contract terms and conditions. Lead the identification, qualification, quantification, and compilation of claims associated with these projects. Collaborate closely with the Operational Leads and Finance to align cost and commercial management strategies with overall business objectives. Provide expert guidance on contractual matters to Operational teams, ensuring contractual compliance. Assess and manage commercial and contractual risks throughout the lifecycle of the portfolio. Engage in dispute resolution as required, utilising contract mechanisms to efficiently resolve issues. Draft and compose contractual communication and documentation to safeguard D4C's commercial position. Maintain accurate and up-to-date internal and external reporting including costs to date, cost forecasting, and promptly reporting any concerns. Foster open communication and collaboration across teams to identify and implement process improvements. Cultivate strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate successful outcomes. Essential Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Finance, Construction Management, Law or equivalent industry experience Proven experience in Quantity Surveying and Contract Administration, with a focus on construction or maintenance projects (NEC 4 experience highly regarded). Experience working with Work Order based field management systems (e.g. JAMS, Maximo) will be highly regarded. Excellent analytical and numerical skills for cost calculations and analysis. Effective communication and negotiation abilities. Proficiency in dispute resolution techniques and contract law (highly regarded). Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Relevant professional certifications or memberships are preferred.
