About the role As the Product Design Engineer you will work in our R&D department reporting to the CAD Supervisor. Key duties include: Design Documentation: Prepare and maintain technical specifications, CAD models, engineering drawings, test specifications, and bills of material. Prototyping & Testing: Support the evaluation and refinement of new and modified product designs to ensure compliance with quality and performance standards. Project Development: Assist in managing product development projects within the framework of the organization's Product Development Process, ensuring timely completion of project milestones. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to industry standards and product approval requirements, as well as monitor regulatory changes affecting existing products. Technical Support: Assist in drafting and maintaining product manuals, installation guides, and technical data sheets. You will also: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering (Preferred Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, mechatronics or similar) Internship or project experience in product design and development is a plus Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams Experience in 3D CAD modelling with Inventor Strong analytical and project management skills Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Good business sense with a goal-focussed work ethic Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Desirable but not essential: Experience in water heater technology, materials science and electrical/electronic design.
