A leading global engineering and design consultancy is seeking a Senior Design Manager – Roads & Highways to join their growing Perth office. This is an exceptional opportunity for a dynamic and commercially minded leader to play a pivotal role in delivering complex transport infrastructure projects and expanding client relationships in Western Australia. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and delivery of major road and highway infrastructure projects across WA. Manage multidisciplinary teams through all phases of project development, including concept design, detailed design, and construction support. Act as the primary interface with clients, stakeholders, and contractors, particularly Main Roads Western Australia (MRWA). Drive technical excellence, ensuring that design solutions meet client expectations, budget, and regulatory standards. Support and lead bid preparation, tenders, and commercial proposals for upcoming infrastructure opportunities. Identify and pursue new business development opportunities with MRWA and related transport authorities. Mentor and develop junior engineers and design staff within the team. Key Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline; CPEng status highly desirable. Proven experience in the design and management of major roads and highways projects. Strong existing relationships with Main Roads WA and a demonstrated ability to engage and win work with them. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment. A track record of successful project delivery and commercial performance. Why Join?
