Your Role: Disability Support Worker – Ocean Shores, NSW As a Disability Support Worker, you'll provide hands-on support to individuals living in our SIL homes, helping them live independently and thrive in their communities. Key Responsibilities Daily Living Support: Assist with personal care, mobility, mealtime, and general household tasks. Promote Independence: Encourage skill development and confidence-building activities. Community Engagement: Participate in social and recreational outings. Health & Safety: Support clients with medication, documentation, and positive behaviour strategies. Meaningful Connections: Be a consistent, friendly, and reliable presence in someone’s life. What We’re Looking For Compassionate, positive, and reliable team players. Previous experience in Disability or Aged Care (highly regarded). Mandatory and desirable required documentation for the role: NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card) – MUST hold or have started an application ( we will still look at application who are willing to obtain) Current First Aid & CPR certification – Up to date! Australian Driver’s Licence Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability or AIN) – required for high-needs clients. Strong communication skills and confidence using digital tools. Your Work Schedule This Permanent Part Time – role requires availability for a regular fortnightly roster across both day shifts and sleepovers , as outlined below for each week: Total Hours – 50 hours per fortnight Week 1: 23 hours Monday: Afternoon/Evening – 3 PM- 7PM SIL Wednesday: Afternoon/Evening – 3PM- 10PM SIL Thursday: Afternoon/Evening – 3PM- 7PM Community Friday: Afternoon/Evening – 2PM – 10PM SIL Week 2: 27 hours Monday: Morning – 6AM – 9AM SIL Monday: Morning/Afternoon – 9AM – 2PM SIL Thursday: Afternoon/Evening – 3PM- 7PM Community Friday: Afternoon/Evening – 3PM – 10PM SIL Additional shifts may be available depending on service needs .
