How you’ll make an impact Platforms is a growth businesses for AMP, and as such, is supported by a substantial investment in projects. It exists in a very competitive market, and a robust regulatory environment, which requires regular reviews of strategic direction and operational emphasis. The target segment for Platforms is mass affluent through the advised channel, with some service provided directly to clients that become unadvised. The purpose of this role is to lead a high-performing national sales team to drive exponential growth in AMP’s platform and retirement product sales. The role focuses on activating new to North adviser relationships, achieving platform transitions, and delivering strategic business outcomes. Strategic Leadership Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy in collaboration with the Head of Strategic Growth and other members of the Wealth Distribution leadership team and leaders from other divisions of AMP group (Managed Portfolios, AMP investments, AMP marketing) Identify and target high-potential advisers to transition to North platform and AMP products. Cultivate long-term relationships with key licensees and market participants. Team Leadership Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing national sales team. Foster a sales accountability culture with a focus on practice management and solution-driven selling. Mentor team members to consistently exceed sales targets. Sales Execution Drive a business solution-led sales proposition aligned with AMP’s strategic priorities. Ensure disciplined adherence to sales frameworks, methodologies, and reporting requirements. Champion the AMP North and MyNorth Lifetime brands in the market. Operational Excellence Establish effective CRM practices to ensure timely lead management and tracking. Collaborate across teams to deliver consistent and high-quality client and adviser experiences. Monitor and adapt to market trends and competitor activity to maintain a competitive edge. Compliance and Risk Management Uphold AMP’s risk and compliance framework, ensuring all activities align with company standards. Act in the best interest of AMP’s customers and stakeholders. Individual Performance Recruit/Lead/Engage/Develop a high performing sales team to drive exponential sales growth Drive a business solution-led sales proposition Focus the team on new sales growth from non-North supporters Contribute to and execute on strategic lead opportunities from the Strategic Growth team whilst developing own leads via profile/referrals/business development activities Primary goal is to create new "advocates" and “supporters" and win platform transitions Works in partnership with Strategic Growth team and Regional Sales Team Delivers B2B value to target clients with a strong practice management and retirement advice proposition approach Once Advocates all supporters are created, they are warmly transitioned across to the regional sales team BDM Execute product and marketing initiatives to maximise new business opportunities Establish and build key licensee relationships Strong understanding and appreciation of sales frameworks, methodologies and processes to support the Wealth Management focus areas Adherence to all sales disciplines including agreed activity management, timeliness of reporting responsibilities, initiative delivery, risk & compliance framework Provide thought leadership and adopt an insight led approach to position AMPs solutions and assist advisers in achieving their business objectives Understand industry trends and adviser business drivers to help them navigate a fast-changing environment to maximise opportunities and mitigate challenges Understand competitor landscape in order to enhance the AMP offering and successfully overcome objections Build effective partnerships internally to help create positive customer and adviser experiences Willingness to make a positive difference beyond core deliverables by adopting a team first approach Ongoing contribution to a high-performance culture through commitment to ongoing improvement, personal development, flexible and adaptive attitude to change, individual & team accountabilities Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Sales Growth: Achievement of targets for new adviser activations, sales volumes, and platform transitions. Team Performance: Development and retention of a high-performing sales team with measurable growth in capabilities and outcomes. Market Penetration: Increased market share and brand presence among targeted financial advice businesses. Operational Metrics: Compliance with CRM activity requirements and sales process adherence. Day to day responsibilities include Leadership of a high performing sales team Transforming the culture and capability to a practice management / business led team Support team members in successfully influencing platform transitions and new sales outcomes Ensure sales team follows the agreed sales processes and frameworks Ensure CRM activities and leads are actioned as required and agreed Align sales activities to the agreed focus areas for AMP Wealth Management Promote AMP North and MyNorth Lifetime in the market Personally, responsible for adhering to the risk & compliance framework and to act in the best interest of AMP’s customers Work effectively within AMP’s shared values and behaviours. Alignment to team and enterprise vision and ability to articulate this in a clear and compelling manner Work closely with team members to ensure quality of approach, consistency of behaviour and key messages to the market. Accountable for multiple projects, processes or programs, may have input into Wealth Distribution annual budget What you will bring to the team Ideally, you will bring the following experiences to this role: 8 years' relevant professional and/or management experience Business or Commerce qualifications Financial Planning qualifications Demonstrated success in leading sales teams and achieving significant sales outcomes. Strong knowledge of the financial planning market, including compliance and competitor strategies. Previous sales role in Financial Services – platform or licensee or practice management Ability to judge market opportunities and AMP’s competitiveness in those sectors A strong understanding of the Financial Planning market including compliance Practice management experience, strategic selling. Solution based selling experience and skills Self-driven motivation with a hunter mentality and thirst for a challenge Strong understanding of the wrap platform market and competitor activity and strategies to compete Proven track record in effectively resolving difficult or complex customer expectations You’ll thrive here if… If you can adapt from BAU to the ambiguous with ease, you’ll do well here.
