Our Client is a major Construction business based in the Northern suburbs. They have been in operation for over 20 years delivering major commercial build and civil infrastructure projects. They have a large Yard in Melbourne's Northern suburbs which is where all equipment, plant, material and power tools are stored, as well as a fleet of vehicles. A recent re-structure means they are looking for a capable Yard Manager to manage the logistics of the Yard. The role will oversee a small team of logistics labourers, truck drivers and forklift drivers. It will organise all deliveries in/out of the yard, it will ensure every piece of equipment/machinery/plant is accounted for and serviced as well as ensuring all building materials that are stored on-site are readily available and kept in pristine condition. Put simply, the successful individual will ensure all operations of the Yard are organised and the facility runs seamlessly. No formal qualifications are necessary but a strong and stable employment history within logistics/yard operations will be required.
