About the role We have an excellent opportunity for a Legal Assistant to join our collaborative and friendly Employment, Safety & People team. Working in a part-time job share arrangement (working Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays), you will be responsible for proactively supporting two Partners and a team of lawyers. You will be engaged working in an administrative capacity on an exciting and broad range of employment related litigation and advisory matters. There is plenty of variety in this role with the key responsibilities and duties being: Assisting with preparation of litigation matters Preparation of routine correspondence Meeting coordination, inbox and diary management Opening and closing of matters including file archiving Processing credit card expenses Liaising and developing relationships with clients and fee earners at all levels Preparation and reconciliation of monthly bills including time recording and client reporting General administrative duties. About you You are someone who can maintain ownership of their role and be proactive in a dynamic environment. A strong willingness to learn and ability to work in a team will see you succeed in this role. In addition to this, ideally you will have: At least 2 years' experience as Legal or Administrative Assistant in a corporate services environment, ideally a law firm. Sound knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, strong typing skills, resourceful & well organised Previous experience with monthly billing (knowledge of Aderant Expert is advantageous) A sharp eye for detail, excellent time management and interpersonal skills Why join Maddocks?
