Jacobs is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Design Manager to join our Advanced Facilities - Data Centre team in the Australia/New Zealand region. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead while continuing to grow your career, delivering advanced facilities projects within the region whilst connecting with our leading global practice. Working with our collaborative global group, you'll help provide clients with award-winning planning, design, engineering, construction, and solutions delivery for mission-critical data centre projects. As data centre expand across the Asia Pacific region, your expertise in designing, delivering, and operating infrastructure with efficiency and sustainability at the forefront will be key to unlocking innovation for the future. Key Responsibilities Lead development and monitoring of design programmes in association with Technical and Discipline Leads, managing information requirements, assumptions, and reporting Coordinate and agree definitions of package scope and technical delivery, managing project delivery by controlling change, budgets, and resources Lead multidisciplinary design projects from concept through to construction and handover stages Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on day-to-day project matters, building and maintaining positive collaborative relationships Chair internal and external design meetings, facilitating communication and coordination between stakeholders Oversee the production of project documentation, ensuring quality and adherence to timelines and budgets Lead project commercial activities including invoicing, project reporting, and managing dashboards Support the Principal Designer in planning, managing, monitoring, and coordinating health and safety during pre-construction phases, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations Coordinate with core design disciplines and specialist inputs to ensure cohesive final designs Manage multiple priorities and concurrent projects across their entire lifecycle, including planning, design verification, tendering, contract administration, and risk management Champion and advocate for emerging design services, promoting standardisation of processes and best practices We value collaboration and believe that in-person interactions are crucial for both our culture and client delivery.
