Harnessed to a purpose-built safety rail system, our Climb Leaders guide our guests on an amazing 90-minute adventure up a 298-step staircase located on the outside of the building to the summit. Interact with guests during climbs, provide information on Gold Coast landmarks, and capture memorable photos. Lead, coach, and support a team of Climb Leaders, fostering a positive culture. Oversee daily climb operations, ensuring safety and service excellence. Conduct ongoing training and performance reviews. Maintain PPE and climbing equipment per safety regulations, monitor stock levels, and track sales performance. Transition between Climb and Observation Deck Guest Services roles as needed. To be successful, you should have: Demonstrate an outgoing and friendly personality with exceptional customer service skills and the ability to ensure guests are treated like V.I.P’s; Previous experience in a Climb Leader or similar role advantageous; Have the ability to relate to and converse with people with varying interests and cultural backgrounds; Confident public speaker who is well spoken and enjoys talking in front of small groups of people; Have highly developed problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet; Comfortable working at heights and working outdoors in differing weather conditions; Safety conscious, with an exceptional eye for detail; Physically fit with the ability to perform physically demanding work; Able to demonstrate a good knowledge of Gold Coast history, attractions landmarks and icons; Possess a current Apply First Aid and CPR certificate and a current Australian Work safely at Heights Certificate, or be willing to obtain qualification prior to commencement; Have the ability to successfully complete all levels of Climb Leader competency training; Flexible with availability across a 7-day roster, including weekends and public holidays.
