To assist us with the introduction of our state-of-the-art Schaefer automation system we are currently seeking an experienced and highly motivated DC Warehouse Team Manager who will lead the operations of our Automation team . The main purpose of this key leadership role will be to oversee this implementation and coach and train your team throughout the process, ensuring operational efficiency, customer service at world class standards and a focus on safety at all times. Reporting directly to the DC Operations Manager your day to day will include: Lead, motivate and support the development of the automation picking team of up to 30 to 40 staff encouraging a culture that is agile and adaptable to change Provide hands on training on the automation roll out in conjunction with onsite Schaefer technicians, in house technical assistants and leadership team Work with the technicians to provide trouble shooting support ensuring the smooth operation of the Schaefer Goods To Person system and associated conveyors, carton erectors and compactor technology Ensure strict adherence to safety compliance and vigorously promote a culture of safety Ensure the Warehouse is running at optimum resource levels to meet the required service levels and expectations of our customers. Liaise and communicate daily with key stakeholders of service to our business Prepare and report daily/weekly/monthly as appropriate on agreed KPI measures and analysis to ensure all targets are met Support the Operations Manager by identifying opportunities to achieve cost savings Support Continuous Improvement by identifying performance/process gaps Keep the team informed by holding daily Toolbox Meetings About YOU You have a proven track record in a similar Warehouse Team Management role where you have assisted with the implementation of an automated system within a large, fast paced DC environment. You are passionate about leading and developing your team and creating a positive culture that will ensure ongoing growth and success. In addition, you have the following skills/attributes: Previous exposure in a Greenfield or Go Live automated Schaefer Goods To Person environment would be highly advantageous Proven experience using complex warehouse management systems (SAP EWM) and WAMAS is highly desirable Strong leadership, coaching, training and motivational skills Microsoft Office – intermediate Clear and concise verbal and written communication.
