Position Summary PTE Line Pty Ltd is seeking a highly motivated and experienced PTE Teacher to deliver engaging, high-quality English language instruction to students preparing for the PTE Academic Exam . The role involves assessing students’ language proficiency, developing customized learning plans, and employing innovative teaching strategies to improve their listening, reading, speaking, and writing skills . The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering lessons that align with PTE exam requirements , ensuring students receive the necessary guidance and support to achieve high scores. Key Responsibilities Teach English as a second language to students preparing for the PTE Academic Exam . Conduct language proficiency assessments to determine students’ strengths and areas for improvement. Develop lesson plans, curriculum, and study materials tailored to the PTE test structure. Implement interactive and student-centered teaching methods to enhance engagement and learning outcomes. Provide personalized coaching to address individual student challenges in pronunciation, fluency, grammar, vocabulary, and essay writing . Conduct mock tests and practice sessions to familiarize students with the PTE exam format and scoring system. Offer strategies, techniques, and time-management skills to improve students' test performance. Monitor and track student progress, providing regular feedback and performance reports . Adapt teaching materials based on evolving PTE test trends and student needs. Stay updated with PTE Academic guidelines and scoring criteria to ensure accurate and effective coaching. Maintain a supportive and motivating learning environment for students from diverse cultural backgrounds. Selection Criteria Essential Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree or higher in TESOL (Preferred) (as per ANZSCO Code 249311). CELTA (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages), TESOL, or TEFL certification Minimum one year of post-qualification experience in teaching English Language Intensive Courses for Overseas Students (ELICOS), ESL, TESOL, or PTE preparation within the last five years. Expertise in PTE Academic exam format, scoring, and preparation techniques . Strong ability to assess student language skills and develop targeted improvement plans. Excellent communication, presentation, and classroom management skills . Ability to motivate and engage students with diverse learning needs and backgrounds. Experience in designing learning materials, lesson plans, and practice tests tailored to PTE. Proficiency in using online teaching platforms, educational technology, and digital learning resources . High level of fluency in English (both written and spoken). Desirable Qualifications & Skills CELTA, TEFL, TESOL certification , or equivalent teaching qualification (if Bachelor’s degree is in a non-relevant field). Experience in teaching IELTS, TOEFL, PTE or other English proficiency tests . Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt teaching methods to individual learning styles. Knowledge of learning analytics and student performance tracking tools . Additional Information This role complies with ANZSCO Code 249311 (Teacher of English to Speakers of Other Languages) and meets the SC 482 visa requirements . Teaching may be conducted in-person at PTE Line training centers or online via virtual platforms. Flexibility in working hours , including evenings and weekends, may be required to accommodate student schedules.
