Legal Administrators at WK We do things differently here. Our Legal Administrative Assistants are valued members of the team, playing an integral role in practice management. You’ll have the opportunity to take ownership of key processes, manage your Partner’s practice, and delegate tasks to paralegals to ensure smooth workflow. With a flexible working model (2-3 days in the office, the rest from home), you’ll enjoy a balance of autonomy and collaboration while being actively involved in the team’s success. You’ll be included in meetings, firm events, and key initiatives, ensuring you feel connected and valued every step of the way. The opportunity We're looking for a well-organised and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our General Liability team in Brisbane. You'll provide essential support to our Partners and lawyers, ensuring the smooth running of the Partner’s litigious practice. What you'll do Client & Relationship Management : Be the backbone of our client service delivery – manage client data, support business development activities, and help coordinate key events and presentations. Document & Matter Organisation : Own the document lifecycle – from setting up files and organising case materials to managing subpoenas and conflict checks using our document and claims management systems. Legal Drafting & Diary Coordination : Assist with preparing legal documents, letters, and reports; track court dates and ensure deadlines are never missed. Billing & Financial Support : Partner with our legal and finance teams to handle billing, track budgets, process expenses, and manage client accounts. Case Support & Legal Coordination : Help drive legal matters forward – arrange medicals, surveillance, and expert reports, and support with court and settlement processes. Team & Admin Support : Be a go-to team member – manage inboxes and diaries for partners, coordinate meetings, prepare transcripts, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations. What you bring Previous experience as a legal administrative assistant or in a similar role. Familiarity with legal billing processes and systems. Strong organisational and time-management skills. Proficiency in MS Office suite and legal software applications. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and a proactive approach to tasks.
