About the Role: AWX is currently seeking various highly motivated individuals as an Administration Officer for Department of Primary Industries (DPI) to support with invasive species to collect and record accurate data and information, including fire ant density data, and support logistical aspects of the project including supply of treatment products to project partners and contractors. The successful candidate will perform the following role: • Provide accurate maps and information to enable and sustain aerial treatment of large areas of land by contracted Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems and helicopters. • Provide timely and accurate administrative support including completion of internal quality assurance measures and delivery of information and documentation. • Monitor and edit data for accuracy and maintain electronic and hard copy records, raising data issues where required to ensure data integrity in accordance with department standards. • Use judgement and problem solving when undertaking allocated tasks and non-routine requests to meet timeframes, competing priorities and quality requirements. • Support the team by providing mentoring and training to new or inexperienced staff. • Acquire and sustain a working knowledge of relevant information systems. • Participate in user acceptance testing, troubleshooting and provide feedback for system upgrades to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of operational administrative tasks. • Participate in the continual improvement of operational processes and identify inconsistencies in the application of operational procedures. • Provide high quality customer services by responding to enquiries and accurately recording details on relevant databases. • Perform administrative support for treatment or surveillance activities, including the generation of appointments/bookings as required. • Export and review reports and data from relevant systems. Collate and order the exported data to be escalated to management for decision-making and/or reporting purposes. Mandatory requirements for this role are: • A current, unrestricted C' class driver's licence • To be eligible for this opportunity, you must be an Australian citizen, hold permanent residency status, or possess a visa allowing you to work in Australia.
