Brickworks QLD is seeking a customer focused Sales Engineer to join our team in Rochedale / Yatala. Reporting to the Commercial Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales growth predominantly in the civil construction market. This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineering professional who thrives on combining technical expertise with client engagement and business development. Duties include but are not limited to: • Influence specifiers such as consulting Engineers and Architects through presentations and other media. • Identify current and future trends opportunities within Civil Masonry markets. • Provide technical and engineering advice on products, services and equipment. • Prepare initial designs and technical information. • Liaise with Engineers, Architects and other professionals and technical personnel. • Identify and optimise masonry products within technical specification. • Develop and provide customers with technical information and training. • Comply with federal state and local legal requirements. • Prepare technical product reports and concept designs. • Prepare and analyse technical tenders. • Management of contacts, projects and opportunities through Salesforce CRM. • Assist in the design of custom-made products as well as R&D innovative new ranges. Success Requirements • Bachelor of Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or relevant discipline. • Previous experience in a sales, technical or specification engineering role. • Knowledge of the building and/or construction industry (ideal). • Experience in civil contracting or civil design (desirable). • Strong communication and customer service skills. • Effective time management skills. • Demonstrated experience building long-term mutually beneficial relationships About Us Under the Brickworks Building Products umbrella are some of the world’s best-known building material brands.
