I'm working with a large Federal Government department to find a UX/UI Designer. This position can be based in Canberra, Sydney or Melbourne This is an initial 12 month contract with 1 x 12 month extension option, requiring Australian citizenship with a baseline clearance. The UX/UI designer will contribute to the ongoing improvement of current and future digital products and services within the department. They will play a pivotal role in growing the teams footprint within the agency and help achieve great outcomes for all our users. Responsiblities will include: Gathering and evaluating user requirements, in collaboration with product and business owners. Illustrating concepts using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps. Designing wireframes and prototypes are both low and high fidelity (mobile and web). User research including usability testing. Capturing and analysis of data related requirements in collaboration with business analysts. You will: Have proven experience in the elicitation of UI/UX requirement techniques such as brainstorming, workshops, prototyping, observation, or interviews, and confirming or reporting on results. Have contemporary knowledge of UI/UX Methodologies and experience designing to meet WCAG guidelines. Have pexperience building rapport and maintaining stakeholder relationships, communicating confidently and presenting messages in a clear, concise, and articulate manner to senior stakeholders. Be comfortable with new ways of thinking about accessibility and enthusiastic about accessible design & development - highly regarded.
