This role is full-time. If you are located in Perth, you will work normal business hours. If you are located in Melbourne or Sydney, your hours will be from 11:30am to 7:30pm AEST Monday through to Friday, in order for you to be able to support our Perth partners and employees with the use of Smarter Law systems, including our case management platform, Sharedo. The Client Solutions section sits within Corporate Services and has approximately thirteen employees nationally. The team drives our Smarter Law program, and the team’s work encompasses various initiatives and services aimed at improving client relationships and delivering innovative and outstanding legal solutions. The team is comprised of legal operations professionals and technologists. This role will support key Client Solutions activities, whilst building knowledge, understanding and skills in the Legal Operations environment. In addition to helping provide Helpdesk Support, you will be immersed in operational activities such as business analysis, development lifecycle, low code development, ideation activities and gaining an understanding in how to turn ideas into reality. You will be responsible for: working across the Client Solutions team to assist with the co-ordination of team meetings and workshops; assisting the Client Solutions Director and Managers on Smarter Law initiatives including pre-work, analysis and documentation; administering and supporting the internal and external use of the firm’s systems, providing training and demo’s where necessary; ensuring our knowledge bank is current and up to date; supporting the delivery of Smarter Law focused presentations and workshops within the firm; maintaining and monitoring prototypes and deliverable apps on low-code platforms; co-ordinating updates and publishing of the smarter law documentation, projects and plans (centrally and with the groups); being a point of contact for general queries relating to Smarter Law; and assisting with the preparation for and facilitation of internal workshops and hack-a-thons. About you You will ideally have the following skills and experience: a keen interest in innovation, automation and legal operations, with a passion for doing things differently; an enthusiasm for learning new concepts and techniques to supplement your legal or technology skills; an interest in, and experience building, communities around Legal Operations or Technology Helpdesk Support; a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail; a self-starter able to run alongside a busy team picking up work to ensure tight deadlines are met; the ability to work autonomously and time-manage according to set priorities; resilience and perseverance in the face of an industry that resists change; a collaborative team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills; exposure or experience with automated systems such as workflow, decision trees, doc automation are advantageous but not mandatory; and experience with Jira Helpdesk or legal environment is desirable.
