Socia l: Recognition programs and social events to celebrate our team’s achievements About the role In this newly created role supporting the General Counsel -ANZ, you will partner with stakeholders across all levels of the TTI business and play an important role in guiding and advising the business on the ability to achieve commercial outcomes within a legally compliant framework. The successful candidate will be a key influencer within the TTI businesses in Australia and New Zealand on the management of legal risks to protect the integrity and reputation of our business. Your key responsibilities will include: Legal Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements including supply agreements, sales agreements, IT agreements, confidentiality agreements, leases and other commercial contracts. Review and advise on marketing activations, point of sale materials and new product developments to ensure compliance with all legal obligations. Provide support in the management of any disputes with customers, retailers or suppliers. Provide support on the protection and enforcement of TTI IP portfolio in Australia and New Zealand including trademarks, patents and brand protection. Compliance Provide advice to ensure compliance with a range of legislative frameworks applicable to Australia and New Zealand including Competition & Consumer Law and Data Privacy. Assist with the management of product safety initiatives, product recalls, product liability claims and insurance claims. Assist with the implementation and enforcement of ESG and CSR initiatives, particularly as it relates to anti-bribery and modern slavery legislation. Legal Training & Education Monitor legislative developments across Australia and New Zealand and provide timely and commercially relevant updates on the implications and implementation of such developments. Develop and provide legal training to the TTI ANZ business on relevant legal issues. Partner with ANZ Legal Team Colleagues Work closely with the Legal Compliance Manager and Legal Compliance Coordinator in the collaboration and provision of work across a range of areas. Partner with Global Legal Colleagues Coordinate and implement global legal initiatives within Australia and New Zealand. Build and maintain relationships with Legal colleagues in other TTI markets to enable sharing of best practice and continuous improvement of the Legal function. Manage External Legal Counsel Brief and manage external counsel where relevant and required to provide specialist legal advice whilst ensuring compliance with legal budget and briefing parameters. About you You will be qualified to practice law in Australia with a current Victorian Legal Practising Certificate. A minimum 5 years of legal experience gained within a reputable law firm and/or inhouse legal environment combined with the following: Mandatory Detailed understanding and experience in competition and consumer law, contract drafting and negotiation across all contract types, including sales agreements, supply agreements, services agreements and IT agreements. Ability to work autonomously and exercise legal judgement, prioritise multiple tasks and respond within competing deadlines. Ability to work as part of a team and provide leadership and mentoring to other staff. Strong business acumen and commercial mindset in the provision of legal advice. Experience dealing with senior stakeholders with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships within the TTI business. Desirable Exposure to New Zealand laws and practice.
