Graphic Designer – Government Sector Location: Sydney CBD (Hybrid: 2–3 days in office) Rate: $55–$65 per hour super agency fees Duration: 6-month contract | 35-hour work week Level: Equivalent to NSW Government Grade 5/6 Start: ASAP A NSW Government department is seeking a Graphic Designer to join their Enabling Services Branch on a 6-month contract. This role is ideal for a creative, technically skilled designer with experience across both digital and print mediums who thrives in a collaborative and purpose-driven environment. About the Role In this role, you will deliver high-quality, accessible content and graphic design solutions that align with the agency's corporate identity and support its communication goals. You'll play a key part in producing impactful materials such as parliamentary reports, infographics, digital content, and internal templates. Key Responsibilities Design and produce reports, publications, and digital content using Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office Develop visual assets for web, social media, video, and animation Ensure all content meets WCAG2 accessibility standards and aligns with corporate branding Maintain and develop Microsoft Office templates that reflect the agency's visual identity Contribute to campaigns and communication initiatives, supporting both print and digital channels Liaise with internal teams and external vendors to meet production timelines and quality standards Provide expert advice on brand guidelines, accessibility, and visual design best practices About You Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Microsoft Word/PowerPoint Strong understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG2) and user-centred design principles Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work independently Exceptional attention to detail and communication skills Government experience is not essential but highly regarded Experience in producing reports to Parliament or similar high-profile publications is a bonus An ability to communicate effectively Resilience (able to take on feedback) In a desirable sense: wide skillset or willingness to upskill – beyond Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office (e.g. Motion Graphics, Premier Pro/ video, illustrations) What’s on Offer Flexible hybrid work model (2–3 days in Sydney CBD office) Join a collaborative and impactful team within the public sector Meaningful design work with purpose Immediate start available
