Clients will include property developers, construction companies, commercial builders, home owners, domestic builders, OC's and more. The role centres on both domestic and commercial building matters, including; Front end contracts & agreements (in the main) and back end dispute resolution. The matters you will work on will include a range of building projects, from residential, commercial, industrial, to retail and multi-unit development. A snapshot of matters will include; Drafting and negotiating contracts and sub contracts Providing advice on payments, variations, defects, delays, termination rights, insolvency insurance claims and security payment claims Mediation Dispute resolution Legislative and regulatory requirements VCAT disputes Domestic Building Act disputes Defective building work claims Construction law advice and dispute resolution in delay and liquidated damages claims Advice and dispute resolution in construction variation claims Building practitioner professional liability claims The benefits; This role presents an excellent opportunity for you to consolidate your front and back end building and construction experience across a variety of matters and industries.
