About You : Certificate III or higher in Individual Support, or equivalent qualifications, or a commitment in working towards a Certificate III in Individual Support (desirable). Position Summary : The role of the Support Worker is to provide flexible and individualised support to clients and to facilitate client involvement in daily activities and skill development. The support worker aims to support our clients to become valued members of society. Key Requirements : NDIS Worker Check Working with Children Check Valid First Aid and CPR certification Drivers Licence Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 Job Responsibility : Clients Provide individually tailored support to maximise dignity, personal growth and independence. Provide support to clients in their social and recreational life as a member of the community. Respect and support client relationships. Support clients to realise their goals and interests in their personal life, their community, their work and their leisure activities. Support individual health and hygiene needs of clients. Support clients’ abilities in their daily activities. Administer medication in accordance with our medication policy and procedures. Use a company vehicle, drive clients as required competently and carefully. Maintain services to a safe and hygienic standard. Make suggestions to improve services to clients and implement new programs. Administration Complete client notes and documentation. Completed other required administrative work in an accurate and timely manner. Report any issues, concerns or suggestions to the Site Manager or other relevant staff. Other duties related to the role as requested by the Site Manager. Continuous Improvement Use various tools to improve performance, ability and skill base to support growth and development. Use initiative to seek organisational opportunities. Take opportunities to increase skills by identifying relevant training and study opportunities that will contribute to improved organisational outcomes. Demonstrate commitment to change management processes. Identify and develop project opportunities to address service delivery gaps, implement project work and report on findings and recommendations. Work Health and Safety Take reasonable care to protect your own health and safety, and the health and safety of others who may be affected by your acts or omissions at work. Use equipment provided to protect health & safety. Compliance Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of codes, guidelines, policies and procedures and NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework and Disability Services Standards as amended from time to time.
