Support Worker - S.I.L Shifts in Coorparoo and Macgregor! About the Role We are seeking compassionate and experienced support workers with a strong background in assisting individuals with Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS) and Autism to join our team on Brisbane’s Southside S.I.L Houses in Macgregor and Coorparoo. Qualifications & Experience Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability, or other relevant qualifications is preferred but not essential. Experience supporting individuals with Prader-Willi Syndrome and/or Autism is highly valued . Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies and experience in implementing Positive Behaviour Support Plans (PBSPs) . Ability to follow strict dietary protocols and manage food security for individuals with Prader-Willi Syndrome. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with families, allied health professionals, and other stakeholders. Commitment to safe work practices and adherence to participant-specific support plans. NDIS Worker Screening Check is required prior to commencement. Availability for a minimum of 2–3 shifts per week , including nights and sleepover shifts . Open driver’s license and own transportation . Tasks & Responsibilities Provide structured and routine-based support tailored to the specific needs of individuals with Prader-Willi Syndrome and Autism. Implement behaviour support strategies and follow Positive Behaviour Support Plans (PBSPs) , with training provided as needed. Assist with daily living skills, personal care, meal preparation, and strict dietary management where required. Monitor and support sensory regulation needs for individuals with Autism. Facilitate community participation and engagement in safe and structured activities . Accurately document activities, progress notes, and incident reports in a timely manner. Collaborate with families, allied health professionals, and other key stakeholders to ensure person-centred support. Adhere to the NDIS Code of Conduct at all times.
