About the role PharmaCare Operations is looking for a Warehouse Assistant to be responsible for the management of inventory by monitoring, analysing, and reporting to minimise costs while ensuring product availability. Responsibilities also include efficiently moving products within and outside the warehouse, ensuring accurate documentation, labeling, palletization, and presentation, truck loading/unloading, and maintaining warehouse cleanliness. Reporting to the Warehouse & Operations Manager, your key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Overseeing inventory management according to company guidelines Performing critical inventory tasks to ensure the correct number of items are in stock Maintaining updated and accurate records of inventory, including transfers and cycle counts Reviewing documentation and monitor product codes to search for discrepancies; troubleshoot quantity discrepancies between stock and records Developing and implement improvements to existing operational procedures in order to maximize efficiency and improve operations costs Responding to sales inquiries and purchase orders; collect and analyse data to determine appropriate order quantities; process orders for shipment Reviewing operations schedules and production requirements to ensure timely order fulfillment Tracking rates of accuracy, purchase and return as well as defective items to inform quality control decisions Preparing, generating, and filing financial inventory reports; reviewing reports monthly with management Nurturing positive relationships with suppliers and providing customer service as needed Maintaining warehouse in neat and orderly manner Forklift operations Picking, packing and despatching customer orders Receiving, checking and putting away incoming stock and raw materials Unpacking of pallets / packing stock away General-hand duties Sampling of raw and packaging materials All other reasonable tasks, as directed by the business About you A proven factory production or manufacturing background Working knowledge and ability to interpret the Australian Code of GMP (preferred) Proficient with computers and other standard office technology Familiarity with JDE enterprise resource planning software Good organizational and communication skills A strong awareness of and commitment to safety management Time management, analytical and problem-solving skills High level of attention to detail, initiative and strong work ethic Ability to work with all levels of the organisation from shop floor to senior management Good mechanical aptitude and or trouble shooting ability (desirable) Advanced working level with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, MRP and/or ERP systems Must have a valid forklift license
