Help shape a positive start for a customer moving into a new SIL home. This is your chance to provide person centred support in a stable 24/7 setting! About the Role We’re seeking casual Disability Support Workers to assist a customer transitioning into a new Supported Independent Living (SIL) home in Rockhampton. This is a fantastic opportunity to be involved from the start of the relocation, helping to establish a positive and supportive environment that’s tailored to the customer’s unique needs. You will support daily living tasks and encourage independence, playing a key role in helping the customer live as independently as possible while ensuring their physical and emotional well-being. This customer requires 24/7 support, so there will be a range of shifts available, with a primary focus on covering afternoon and sleepover shifts. If you’re a confident, compassionate, and experienced support worker ready to make a meaningful impact, we’d love to hear from you. Other responsibilities may include: Encouraging independence and engagement in meaningful routines Providing tailored support aligned with Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans Assisting with personal care, medication administration, and daily living tasks (ranging from direct assistance to prompting) Supporting community access services (external CAS most days, with some in-home CAS) Maintaining accurate documentation including daily progress notes and incident reports What we are looking for: Demonstrated experience supporting individuals with complex needs and behaviours Understanding of PBS strategies and Chemical Restraint Protocols (highly regarded) Flexibility to work across a 24/7 roster (especially afternoons and sleepovers) Requirements · Valid drivers licence (P2 or open class) · Senior First Aid and CPR certificate · NDIS worker screening clearance (yellow card) · QLD blue card (working with children check) Benefits · Great perks such as penalty rates, annual pay increases, paid induction, continuous training and development, employee assistance, referral bonuses, and discounts at major retailers.
