About the Role We’re seeking casual Disability Support Workers to jopin our team in West Rockhampton, providing support across both hub based programs and community access activities. These roles offer a rewarding opportunity to support individuals with disabilities in both structured and community-based environments, with a focus on fun, social, and skill-building group activities. Shifts range from 8 AM to 9 PM, and support may be provided in 1:1, 1:2, or 1:3 group settings. You will support daily living tasks and encourage independence, playing a key role in helping the customer live as independently as possible while ensuring their physical and emotional well-being. This customer requires 24/7 support, so there will be a range of shifts available, with a primary focus on covering afternoon and sleepover shifts. You’ll be helping customers engage in meaningful programs like bingo, music, dancing, and ceramics, while also providing personalised support when needed. Other responsibilities may include: · Facilitating engaging group and individual activities both onsite and in the community · Supporting individuals with personal care, manual handling, and PEG feeding · Implementing Positive Behaviour Support strategies to manage complex behaviours · Maintaining accurate records and documentation of support provided · Driving a Multicap van to and from activities (must be willing and confident to drive) What we are looking for: Experience working with individuals with disabilities Knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support plans (advantage) Willingness to work across a flexible roster between 8 AM – 9 PM Ability to work effectively in both 1:1 and group support settings Confident driver (fleet car/van provided) Requirements · Valid drivers licence (P2 or open class) · Senior First Aid and CPR certificate · NDIS worker screening clearance (yellow card) · QLD blue card (working with children check) Benefits · Great perks such as annual pay increases, paid induction, continuous training and development, employee assistance, referral bonuses, and discounts at major retailers.
