Disability Support Worker — Mill Park, Whittlesea Area

We are seeking qualified Disability Support Workers to assist us with the morning and afternoon shifts. Your primary role will be providing individual support to our NDIS participants within our SIL accommodations or out in the community providing personal care supports for our participants. The shifts are mainly easy going as most of our participants do not have a behaviour of concern or complex care needs. Requirements: A genuine willingness and ability to show compassion towards NDIS participants Minimum of Certificate III in Individual support, Disability support, Aged Care, Ageing Support A current driver’s licence & passport / visa Current First Aid Certificate including CPR Relevant, professional and industry related reference checks The following will be viewed favourably: Experience working with people with disability who may have challenging behaviours and Behaviour Support Plans Ability to work on weekends About you: Be enthusiastic and passionate about empowering people with disabilities to live great lives, the way they choose and putting the people we support first as they have a right to live a great life Dedicated to learning company polices & procedures and apply them to your role Show attention to detail and keep accurate records and case notes Provide ideas about how we can improve our support services Be accountable for your work and have a ‘can do’ attitude About us: At uCare iCare, we support people with disabilities to live great lives.
