Sports Turf Management Traineeship — West Beach, West Torrens Area

The Role: Location: West Beach SA Duration: 48-month Traineeship As a Sports Turf Management Trainee , you will assist with the maintenance and development of the golf course ensuring the turf is maintained to a high standard. Under the guidance of experienced mentors, your responsibilities will include: Turf management including mowing and whipper snipping Golf course preparation Pest and weed control Install and maintain irrigation Rake sand bunkers Relocate holes About You: To be successful in this Traineeship, you will need to: Enjoy working outdoors and with garden tools Strong work ethic; reliable and punctual Ability to prioritise time and tasks when working under pressure Works effectively within a team and unsupervised Great communication skills Have a can-do attitude and willing to learn A general understanding and interest of the game of golf (advantageous) Eligibility Criteria: Available to work between the hours of 5am-1pm Driver’s licence and reliable vehicle Physically fit and healthy due to undertaking manual labour work Satisfactorily pass a pre-employment assessment, including a drug and alcohol test Previous experience in gardening, horticulture, or similar (advantageous) About Maxima: Maxima is a leading Group Training Organisation – we manage recruitment, placement and ongoing support of trainees and apprentices on behalf of our host employers.
