About the opportunity: As a Driver Trainer , you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and improving the competency, safety and compliance of our driver workforce. You'll be responsible for onboarding and assessing new drivers, re-assessment of existing drivers, delivery of training and coaching, and ensuring adherence to all heavy vehicle regulations. This role is critical to ensuring safe delivery of concrete and aggregate produce in line with Holcim's Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) Management System and work instructions. Key accountabilities include: Promote and lead a culture of safety among Holcim's driver and transport teams. Deliver onboarding programs and training for new and existing drivers. Assess driver competence and support performance through ongoing coaching. Ensure compliance with Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL), WHS legislation, and Holcim transport standards. Administer and maintain accurate training records, assessment documentation, and compliance reports. Utilise In-Vehicle Management Systems (IVMS) to identify and address driver performance issues through the Driver Intervention Program. Collaborate with internal teams, including Logistics, Road Safety & Compliance, and Safety to meet KPIs and uphold best practices in transport safety. Support the recruitment, onboarding, and retention of professional drivers. About you: Valid Heavy Vehicle license. Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. DECA Pro-Driver Train the Trainer or similar (desirable). Significant experience driving Heavy Vehicles, including multi combination trucks. Experience operating concrete agitators and tippers desirable. Proven and extensive experience in driver training and coaching. Program development experience (highly desirable). Strong understanding and commitment to road safety, heavy vehicle compliance and regulator requirements. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with stakeholders at all levels.
