Position: Retail Manager We are looking for an experienced Retail Manager to join our team based at Maryborough. Key responsibilities: Managing and supervising the daily operations of the PMK store Maryborough, ensuring efficient store operations, high customer service standards, and compliance with all relevant regulations. Overseeing stock control , including ordering liquor, groceries, and other goods, managing inventory, and maintaining accurate records of stock levels. Ensuring the store is well-stocked to meet customer demand, while avoiding overstocking or understocking. Setting and monitoring sales targets , developing strategies to achieve targets, and tracking store performance to maximize revenue. Managing store staff , including recruitment, training, supervision, and performance management. Ensuring all team members are trained in customer service, product knowledge, and store procedures. Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) regulations , and liquor licensing laws, including proper handling and storage of liquor, ensuring a safe working environment, and adherence to food safety standards. Developing and implementing store policies and procedures , including purchasing, pricing, and marketing strategies that align with the standards and objectives. Formulating and setting prices for goods and services, ensuring competitive pricing within the market while maintaining profit margins and offering value to customers. Promoting and advertising the store’s products and services , including planning and executing in-store promotions, marketing campaigns, and working with the PMK network to promote store events and product offerings. Selling goods and services to customers , providing expert advice on product selection, usage, and recommendations to enhance the customer experience and boost sales. Maintaining accurate financial records , including overseeing store budgets, cash flow management, and ensuring all financial transactions are correctly recorded and reported. Monitoring market trends and competitor activities , analyzing shifts in the retail market and customer preferences, and adjusting stock, pricing, and promotional strategies accordingly to stay competitive. Determining product mix , stock levels, and service standards to ensure a varied and appealing range of products that meet customer needs and align with local preferences. Ensuring the store offers a balanced mix of liquor and other in-demand products. Requirements: Proven experience in retail management. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent customer service and communication abilities. Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising principles. Familiarity with health, safety, and compliance regulations in retail operations. Proficiency in basic financial and operational reporting. Tertiary qualification in business or related preferred.
