Develop, review and evaluate in-placement learning materials and assessments. Coordinate oral/practical examinations in Work Integrated Learning units, and serve as an examiner across multiple academic years. Support placement preceptors in mentorship and assessment of students. Provide timely, constructive feedback to pharmacy students regarding their performance in placement activities and assessments. Evolve the hospital pharmacy placement program in line with changing student and professional requirements. Deliver engaging, interactive lectures , tutorials and workshops in your area of expertise. Coordinate professional engagement activities for students with relevant external organisations. Engage with professional development and innovation and scholarship in learning and teaching. Contribute to academic service and demonstrate leadership within the University community. We are looking for A postgraduate qualification in pharmacy (or equivalent accreditation and professional standing). Extensive experience as a practicing pharmacist , with experience of, or insights into hospital pharmacy practice. High level teaching skills with a demonstrated reflective approach to learning and teaching. An understanding of pedagogical theory and contemporary educational practice relevant to the discipline. Demonstrated high level communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to foster the development of a collegial and supportive working environment and the ability to interact with students and staff with cross cultural sensitivity. Demonstrated capacity to undertake unit coordination (ALB) / experience in curriculum development and course coordination (ALC). Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to lead learning and teaching initiatives (ALC). Demonstrated commitment to applying relevant and applicable policies, procedures and legislation in the day-to-day performance of the functions of this position. Desirable: Unrestricted AHPRA registration as a pharmacist without any current undertakings or conditions. An emerging record of peer reviewed publications in high quality journals (ALC).
