The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Legal Counsel to join our dynamic in-house Commercial & Legal team. Bringing your adept experience in either private practice or an in-house role, you will play a crucial role in providing strategic legal advice, mitigating risks and ensuring compliance across all aspects of our projects. Reporting to the Head of Commercial & Legal, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, project stakeholders, and external partners to support tendering activity, negotiate construction contracts with clients and assist with dispute resolution for significant projects. You will join a national team of Lawyers and Contract Administrators with a fantastic culture, and being part of a global company, you will also have access to a wider network of legal resources, including another national team of Lawyers at our local parent company, Quanta Services Australia. About You To be successful in this role, you will possess: Tertiary qualifications in Law 4 years of relevant legal experience in either private practice or in-house, preferably within energy, power, construction or utilities Advanced communication skills, both written and verbal Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders effectively High-level negotiation skills and the ability to work with stakeholders across all levels Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality results on time.
