The Exchange Hotel Kalgoorlie is looking for Bar Attendant Supervisor with general supervisory duties relating to efficient operation of hospitality venue. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES General supervisory duties relating to efficient operation of a hospitality venue including but not limited to cash handling, staff management and the customer experience General FOH duties including but not limited to; food & beverage service and customer service. Venue Security & Compliance Ensuring compliance with RSA legislation Full understanding of the liquor licence of the venue including ETPs Safety Ensuring the timeliness of reporting of all employees or patron incidents Being proactive and acting responsibly in relation to health and safety matters Practicing proper workplace health and safety procedures Customer service Communication with customers to resolve service delivery matters as they arise Communicating warmly, friendly, respectfully and effectively to create the best experience for the guests Initiating conversation with customers when appropriate Able to handle customer queries and complaints and implement Service Recovery quickly. Warmly greeting and seating customers in line with bookings practices, events and functions Taking customers’ orders and assisting them to make menu selection decisions Opening and closing the bar and floor areas to a high standard. Staff Supervision Conducting Inductions for new staff members and any follow-up training required Planning and executing breaks for FOH and Supervisory staff Monitors and enforces customer service standards as provided by FOH staff. Ensure FOH staff and Supervisors are utilising and completing checklists, then checking that work is of a satisfactory standard. undertaking RSA training as appropriate and complying with the intent and legal obligations of RSA Supervising and training food and beverage attendants of a lower grade Personal Presentation Presenting oneself in accordance with the venue’s dress standards Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending and occasionally hosting, educational training as hosted by the venue. Responding to the Venue Manager’s requests to perform other tasks from time to time which contribute to the overall success of the venue’s operations. Maintaining service standards particularly during peak periods Maintain a ‘Can-do’ attitude in the face of adversity. Required Skills and Qualifications RSA Certification Liquor Licencing Approved Manager Red Card 2-3 years of relevant experience Broad cellar awareness Broad Product knowledge Excellent communication skills Commitment to the service industry Leading by example Excellent time management & multi-tasking skills Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 annually
