Café/Restaurant Manager Permanent Role $65-75K PA Yorkeys Knob QLD POSITION: We have a position available for a full-time Café/Restaurant Manager in Yorkeys Knob, QLD 4878. SKILLS: The role requires you to hold at least a relevant AQF Diploma and 2 years of relevant fulltime work experience. At least three years of fulltime work experience may substitute for the formal qualification listed above. RESPONSIBILITIES: The role of the Café/Restaurant Manager is to effectively lead and coordinate all aspects of the restaurant's operations ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and driving our success. The role encompasses a wide range of tasks that require effective leadership, coordination, and a keen eye for detail. TASKS: Create and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak and off-peak hours. Monitor food preparation and presentation to ensure high standards of quality and consistency. Develop and implement promotional activities to attract customers and increase sales. Oversee cash register operations, handle daily cash flows, and ensure banking is done accurately. May organise reservations, greet guests and help take orders when required. Address customer complaints and resolve any issues that arise in a professional manner. Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality of goods. Monitor and control operational costs to maintain profitability, including labour and food costs. Foster a positive work environment by motivating staff and providing opportunities for career growth. Supervise and train waiting and kitchen staff on health, safety, and customer service practices. Ensure that customer service standards are consistently met and exceeded through checking in with customers, providing a memorable experience. Plan and develop menus in collaboration with Chefs. Including making recommendations regarding the addition of new Vietnamese dishes and/or adjusting current menus where possible. Arrange and organise special events or functions at our venue. Explaining and promoting our Vietnamese cuisine to customers.
