Our high-energy and fast-paced environment offers the opportunity to tackle complex issues and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.Day to day you will:Provide timely pre-publication legal advice to editorial teams across all platformsManage and respond to legal and regulatory complaints and disputes related to contentAssist in the management of litigation, subpoenas, and statutory noticesDraft legal advice, releases, agreements, and court/tribunal documentsAssist in developing and delivering legal training to various business unitsQualificationsIf you're a confident legal professional who possesses a sharp eye for detail, a positive attitude, and a genuine interest in news and current affairs, this is your opportunity to propel your legal career!What you’ll bring: Admission to legal practice in Australia and 2-5 years of legal experience (law firm or in-house)Proven experience in litigation/disputes, media, defamation, IP, or privacyProven ability to collaborate and manage multiple tasks and instructions effectivelyExcellent communication, drafting skills, and strong attention to detailInterest in and understanding of news and current affairsExperience in a media business and/or pre-publication advice is preferable but not essentialExposure to the Television and Radio industry Codes of Practice is preferable but not essentialAdditional InformationHow we workAt Nine, our flexible work options vary by role and team.
