Analyst - Ports & DSL (Procurement & Contracts administration) Support end to end procurement Lifecycle Play a key role in a diverse and global organisation Day to day interface with Rio Tinto Australia’s Dampier Salt operations at Port Hedland and Dampier Permanent Full time| Location - Perth CBD We are looking for a Procurement Analyst to work closely with the Business Partner Ports & DSL on assigned sourcing scopes and support projects which contribute to the delivery of commercially favourable contracts and deliver optimal value to the Rio Tinto Business Unit. A favourable attribute will be the ability to create detailed spend analysis and compile tender documentation. This role requires someone who has a meticulous eye for detail to extract/collate data from various sources, consolidate the datasets and then analyse/interpret the data to present meaningful information and insight (i.e. trends, patterns or gaps) to present in the form of a strategy or recommendations for award. This role is a great opportunity for someone who is keen on further enriching their skillsets across the entire procurement lifecycle, is able deploy sound data management capabilities, excellent multitasking ability and demonstrated experience in establishing collaborative working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Working for Rio Tinto Global Procurement, and as a key member of the Ports & DSL Team, you will: Proactively seek and analyse information and intelligence from the market to support strategy development and ongoing execution Run sourcing projects, including drafting and execution of contract documentation Undertake the day to day contract management activities in support of Dampier Salt's key supply partnerships Ensure that the team follows the required governance and compliance relating to key Procurement processes and procedures, directing the business unit to the correct contracts and vendors Extract, analyse, and interpret spend data and management of team reporting Undertake regular reporting on cost savings, spend forecasts, supplier spend, business unit spend, bespoke analysis and other performance indicators as requested Contribute to value creation initiatives, bringing innovative ideas and energy Manage supplier activities and assist with identifying new value opportunities for the business Maintain a positive, constructive and collaborative working relationship with the team, business and vendors Ad hoc travel to site (Port Hedland and Dampier) will be required.
