Law Graduate/Legal Officer — Aitkenvale, Townsville

About the Role We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic Legal Officer or Law Graduate to join our in-house Legal Department on a full-time, permanent basis. This role is ideal for a recent law graduate or early-career legal professional looking to build their experience in a fast-paced, dynamic, commercial in-house environment. You’ll be involved in a variety of legal tasks that support the day-to-day operations of the business, while working closely with a supportive and experienced legal team. This is a full-time opportunity based on a 38-hour working week located at our Townsville Head Office. About You Ability to produce monthly reports required by the legal team Experience with conducting evidence gathering for regulatory inquiries, AFCA complaints, litigation or audits, including the collation and categorisation of evidence as required. Ability to format and proof documents prepared by the legal team, including preparation of template correspondence and drafting of internal legal updates. Experience in reviewing and updating legal templates and precedents as well as management of template and precedent base Assisting with litigation administration tasks Diploma in Paralegal studies or a legal related undergraduate degree A high level of computer literacy, accuracy and attention to detail Experience working in a Financial Institution (desirable) About Us Put simply, we are a bank that has a distinct purpose of helping Queenslanders live better lives through better finances.
