Townsville Grammar School is one of the original Grammar Schools of Queensland. The Year 7-12 campus is located on the original site at North Ward. The School also operates two Junior School campuses, both offering Pre-Prep to Year 6, at Annandale and North Shore. We have a great opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced Receptionist/Teacher Aide to commence immediately at our North Shore campus. The position is permanent and is offered on a term-time basis (full time hours during school terms). This is an important role in a busy environment and primarily a first impressions and communications role. Reception duties include dealing with inquiries from visitors, students and parents, administration duties and appointment and email management for the Head of Campus, recording and monitoring student movements and absences, and ad hoc administration tasks. The Teacher Aide component includes working with individual students and small groups in the classroom with a focus of literacy and numeracy, providing assistance to students with disabilities or learning difficulties and assisting in the supervision of educational activities under the direction of a teacher. Prior experience in both areas would be an advantage. Applicants must hold a Working with Children Blue Card or be eligible for registration.
