This role focuses on enhancing the learning experience by assisting with the delivery of educational programs, preparing class materials, and supporting students with diverse needs. There are 2 opportunities available - Set schedule working 2 hours every morning or relief work where you can choose ad-hoc shifts that suit your availability. Main responsibilities: Support classroom teachers in delivering individual and group learning activities Provide targeted assistance to students with additional needs, including ASD and PDA, ensuring they receive the necessary support to achieve their learning goals Facilitate classroom activities and help manage student behaviour to maintain a safe and productive learning environment Provide feedback to teachers and Learning Enrichment Coordinators on student achievements, behaviour and interactions on delivered lessons Assist in preparing and organising class materials and resources, ensuring that all necessary items are available and ready for use during lessons Undertake various tasks to assist in the smooth and effective operation of the school, contributing to a positive school environment Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a cohesive and supportive educational experience for all students Actively participate in promoting and living out the school’s core values Engage in the school's collaborative appraisal and recognition program, contributing to the development of a personal and professional learning goals What you will bring: Experience / Attributes Experience working in an educational setting, particularly in supporting classroom teachers and students Proved experience supporting children with additional needs including ASD and PDA Understanding of student behaviour management strategies to ensure a safe, orderly, and success-oriented learning environment Familiarity with contemporary primary teaching and learning methodologies including sensory integration techniques Awareness of the inquiry-driven learning framework and its application within the curriculum Proficiency in using ICT across the curriculum to support learning Superior communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, staff, and parents Strong ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, contributing positively to the school environment Deep commitment to living out the school's values Flexibility and willingness to adapt to the changing needs of the classroom and school environment Qualifications / Training Certificate III in Educational Support or Early Childhood Educational Care Current Working with Children clearance Current Mandatory Notification Training Certificate Current First Aid Training Certificate Further certificates in child education, special needs, or related fields (desirable) LEA Valuing Safe Communities training or ability to obtain (desirable) To Apply: Click apply now and upload a current Resume addressing the role criteria.
