Disability Support Coordintor — Dubbo Area, Dubbo Region

Introduction Part time role- 20 - 30 hours per week Support Coordination helps people interpret their NDIS plan, advise how they can spend their funding, engage appropriate supports/therapies, monitor their budget accurately so funds don't run out, conduct stakeholder meeting with Allied Health Professionals, write reports required by the NDIS to secure funding for participants, work with Govt organisations such as Child Safety, schools, health professionals, hospitals, people released from prison. Description To be considered You must have maturity to manage complex family situations, and able to assist effectively through periods of crisis Ability to ascertain what therapies or supports would benefit each client according to their disability Ability to research NDIS policy and operational guidelines, to best advise clients with what they can or cannot use with their funding Preferably experience within a community sector or social work environment Skills And Experiences Benefits Ability to work autonomously from home, flexible hours, with regular team meet ups.
