Toll People are on the lookout for a motivated and safety-focused Transport Forklift Operator to join our client's team at their Cardiff Depot. In this fast-paced role, you'll be at the heart of the PM shift operations, handling everything from pallets and cartons to oversized cargo, dangerous goods, perishables, and more. Why You'll Love This Role: Consistent afternoon shifts (2PM-10PM, Monday to Friday) Hands-on, active role in a high-performing logistics environment Work with a wide variety of freight - it's never boring! Opportunity for the right person to move into a permanent role Key Responsibilities: Safely load local PUD vehicles (Pick-Up and Delivery) Tautliner vehicles, ensuring proper restraint of freight Load and unload interstate Linehaul B-Doubles and Semi-Trailers Unpack products from shipping containers Manage pallet movements across the yard, maintaining clear and safe access Open and secure vehicle components such as gates, straps, and curtains Apply appropriate load restraints using straps and chains, in line with compliance standards Skills & Experience Required: A current LF Forklift Licence is essential with 2 years current experience HC Licence is highly regarded, but not mandatory Team Leader or Management experience is desired Demonstrated experience loading a wide range of freight types Strong understanding of load restraint compliance and best practices Sound numeracy skills, with the ability to calculate and manage legal freight weight limits Experience with mezzanine floors and loading Linehaul vehicles Familiarity with Dangerous Goods handling, including knowledge of relevant regulations and procedures Benefits Above market average payrates Temp to Perm opportunity Opportunity to join leading transport company and further boost your career Working at Toll At Toll, we're proud to be a leading integrated logistics provider in the Asia Pacific region.
