The Role Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, this role is responsible for delivering end-to-end payroll for approximately 220 employees across multiple sites. Having full ownership of this function; You’ll work closely with stakeholders across the business to ensure payroll is accurate, compliant, and timely More than that, you’ll be encouraged to bring a curious mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement. This is a part-time role, working Monday to Wednesday, conveniently located on the northern fringe of the city Key Responsibilities Process end-to-end payroll for approximately 220 staff across six properties Manage multiple MYOB payroll files and perform wage reconciliations Undertake month-end processing and reporting Maintain up-to-date employee records, including onboarding and terminations Interpret relevant awards and legislation (Hospitality Award knowledge an advantage) Respond to payroll queries with empathy and professionalism Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth payroll operations Identify discrepancies and contribute to process improvements Provide sound advice on employment, tax, and superannuation obligations Skills and Experience Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing of a similar size. Naturally curious and solutions-focused — you thrive on improving processes, solving problems, and your attention to detail is second to none Able to prioritise competing deadlines without compromising on accuracy or quality. Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach, able to build strong working relationships across all levels. Ability to interpret awards and understand entitlements Comfortable working independently and using initiative Experience with MYOB/Xero and/or Tanda highly regarded, but not essential Solutions-oriented with a calm, constructive approach to challenges.
