About the role The position is primarily responsible for providing a security presence whilst remaining alert and focused. You will be part of an enthusiastic, committed and customer focused team. You will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to all our customers, and you will build strong relationships with your internal stakeholders. Duties of the role include but are not limited to: Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons Patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances Provide assistance to residents and visitors in a courteous and professional manner. Enforce property rules and regulations to maintain order. Operate and monitor security systems, including CCTV and alarm systems. Conduct regular inspections and write reports to ensure security and safety equipment is functioning properly. Skills & Experience of a Successful Guard Full Australian Working Rights Certificate II in Security Operations Victorian Security Licence Current First Aid and CPR Certificate Working With Children Check (or willing to obtain one) Strong Observational and surveillance skills Ability to operate security equipment and systems. Good communication skills and the ability to report incidents clearly and accurately. Physical stamina and the ability to stand or walk for extended periods. 24/7 Availability on a rotating roster MSS Security operates in partnership with Technical Advanced Training TOID: 22274, supporting suitable individuals to kickstart their career in Security. Upon successful completion, participants will obtain their State or Territory Security Licence as required, followed by on-boarding to the MSS Security Team. Completing the Certificate II in Security Operations will support licence-based qualifications and ensures a culture of continual learning development.
