They have developed, value added and sold projects with a total end value surpassing $1Billion. About the Role They are currently seeking a professional and qualified Legal Counsel to join their expanding team in Parramatta. This is a permanent opportunity, offering a pathway for career progression as your experience and contributions grow. Reporting to the General Counsel, you will play a pivotal role in providing support to the Legal Team including providing legal advice, drafting, reviewing and negotiating various legal documentation whilst facilitating transactions to support business objectives. Legal Counsel also liaises and instructs external Lawyers, when required. Key Responsibilities Deliver high quality legal advice on Corporate, Commercial, Financial and Property matters Provide effective legal services including facilitating the structuring, negotiation and completion of transactions in accordance with legislation, best practice and policy Review, draft and negotiate documents across various areas of law including Real Estate, Corporate, Banking & Finance, Construction and General Commercial Support in managing the overflow of OTP transactions and settlement Conduct in-depth legal research Gather and collate information and evidence Manage disputes and advising on potential/threatened claims Interpret, analyse and prepare complex legal documentation, mitigating risks and preventing disputes Establish and maintain effective, productive and professional stakeholder relationships Manage and provide advice to internal stakeholders on arising business matters Keep up to date with Legal and Regulatory environments, contribute to the development and review of legal standards, practices, policies, systems, procedures, manuals, precedents and processes Prepare and review corporate governance policies and procedures Facilitate responses to legal reviews, law reform, proposals and legal initiatives Respond to formal and informal requests for information including court subpoenas and applications under relevant legislation Accurately and contemporaneously record time spent on legal work About You Impeccable communication skills, both verbal and written Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills Ability to translate complex legal terminology into everyday language High attention to detail Superior organisational skills and ability to multi-task and prioritise conflicting deadlines Highly motivated, detail orientated and outcomes focused Strong drafting and negotiation skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously Requirements Tertiary Law Qualifications Minimum 4-5 years PQE (admitted in NSW Supreme Court) Proven experience and knowledge Corporate, Commercial, Construction, Finance and Real Estate Law Previous experience working for a Property Developer or Private Practice Legal experience in property development, construction, or development finance highly advantageous How to apply Please apply by submitting your resume (in Word format) via the “Apply Now” tab to be considered for the role.
