Position Full time positions available with immediate start About the role As Disability Support Worker you will provide person-centred care to support our complex clients with various aspects of their daily living. Duties Assist individuals with disabilities in their daily routines, it may require high level of manual handling including tasks related to mobility, housekeeping, personal hygiene, medication administration, and preparing meals. Work with individuals and their families to reach agreements on the type and level of care required. Provide emotional guidance and help in managing issues such as depression, confusion, and grief. Organize and encourage participation in community social events tailored to individuals with disabilities. Support people with disabilities in accessing various disability-related services. Address and manage potential risks or emergencies in a home care setting, ensuring a safe environment for the individual. Skills and experience required: A Certificate III in Aged Care, Home and Community Care, Disability or Individual Support (essential) Capacity to embrace a role that is meaningful for the community and yourself Effective verbal and written communication skills with a customer service orientation Ability to work independently and effectively manage time Proficiency in use of technology such as smart phones, email and internet Salary Package $65,000 - $70, 000 plus Superannuation per annum.
