About the Role: As a Quality Engineer , we expect you to possess a high level of knowledge and exposure across various software development lifecycle models, with a particular emphasis on GIS technologies . You should have the ability to accelerate quality with the application of appropriate tools and approaches. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential as you will be frequently guiding people on testing-related topics, and reporting on all elements of the test process and phases. You will be required to demonstrate a breadth of experience working in a testing/quality engineering role, including the day-to-day activities of this job – test analysis and improvement, design and review, execution, defect management, reporting, leading small teams, and contributing to planning and estimation, etc. Responsibilities: Review requirements for testability Contribute to test plans and other high level documentation where required Collaborate with clients for user and systems requirements when documentation is insufficient Identify test conditions/ test objectives and derive test cases using advanced test techniques Identify and apply tools to assist with the acceleration of quality Create comprehensive test assets in the appropriate tools relevant to test conditions Utilise appropriate tools to execute test cases and report results Raise, track and close defects Set up a defect lifecycle process when required Report results as required to managers across the business Capable of working with Agile methodologies, collaborating with and across teams as required. Essential Skills and Experience: Experienced in traditional, iterative or Agile development practices Possess in-depth experience as a senior test engineer in all areas of the SDLC GIS experience is a MUST Experience with EAM (Enterprise Asset Management) and SAP integration testing Proficient in API testing using Tosca API, ReadyAPI, SoapUI, or Postman Hands-on experience with Service Virtualisation Strong experience with sFTP for secure file transfer testing Skilled in building and managing JSON payloads for API testing Experienced in system, system integration testing (SIT), and UAT Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and users to identify testing needs and automation opportunities Solid understanding of modern application deployment methodologies and cloud infrastructure Experience with SQL and API testing Culture and Benefits: We believe in fostering a culture where our people are rewarded for the work they do and looked after from their first day at Planit!
