In this role, you will be a key player in designing, developing, and maintaining the core investment platforms, as well as driving other strategic projects and initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity for a pure technologist to contribute to the evolution of financial technology and help build integrated products that serve B2B markets. Your hands on expertise in Java and modern web technologies, will assist in creating scalable, secure, and high-performance applications. Working closely with the CTO, you will help shape system architecture, conduct code reviews, and develop the future success of the platform. Key Responsibilities Platform Development: Design, develop, and maintain core fintech platforms and applications. Backend Engineering: Build scalable backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and related technologies. Frontend Development: Create responsive, user-friendly interfaces using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, jQuery and front-end frameworks. Database Optimization: Optimize database performance with efficient query design and indexing in SQL databases. Security: Ensure security best practices are followed to protect user data and maintain application integrity. Cloud Infrastructure: Deploy and manage applications using cloud services like AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, API Gateway). System Architecture: Contribute to system design and technical decision-making, including microservices and monolithic architectures. Code Reviews and Mentorship: Lead code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior engineers. Troubleshooting & Reliability: Address complex technical issues to ensure high availability and reliability of applications. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for technical designs, systems, and processes. Required Qualifications A true technologist and lover of Software Engineering Over 7 years proven success as a Full Stack Software Engineer Experience or very direct interest in Start-ups. Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. At least one AWS Associate certification (SysOps, Developer, or Solutions Architect). Experience building software solutions that process and analyse large amounts of data. Ability to navigate complex systems and work with established codebases. Bonus Qualifications Experience in mobile app development. Experience working in a Start-up / Scale up / Fintech / Proptech business. Passion for building web applications from scratch. Familiarity with design tools like Figma. Strong problem-solving skills with a “can-do” attitude and resilience in tackling challenges.
