Numerous growth opportunities within the company. Primary Job Duties: As an Avionics Engineer, you will work on the entire aircraft and effectively troubleshoot our growing fleet of aircraft. You will also: Troubleshoot all aircraft systems. Carry out time critical scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. Ensuring correct certification for aircraft maintenance is completed accurately and timely in accordance with procedures detailed in McDermott Aviation manuals. Communicate with the Director of Maintenance of any deficiencies noted in the Maintenance Procedures manual with suggestion of remedial action. Reporting details of any observed or detected major defects or major damage on any aircraft undergoing maintenance under the company certificate of approval, inclusive of MEL procedures, communication & liaison with our Operations. Applicant must be able to travel at short notice, work weekends (on a weekend roster) and be available via phone after hours to assist in remote troubleshooting. Manage all documentation and paperwork, including parts paperwork. Minimum Requirements: Meet all CASA and/ or FAA and Safety Requirements. Hold a valid CASA and/ or FAA aircraft licence (B2 Twin Electrical rotary Licence Coverage preferred). Possess good troubleshooting skills. Possess excellent communication and people skills. Possess problem-solving and organisational skills. Exercise good judgment in working with people in a team environment as well as in aircraft maintenance and safety. Physical and Other Requirements: Possess a valid, unrestricted driver’s license. At least 5 years experience as a LAME.
