Our Client: Our client are specialists in damage repair and insolvency builds. With a strong & sustained uplift in work, they are seeking presentable Estimators with proven experience across apartment and defect-repair projects, interested in joining them at this exciting stage of their journey. Combining technical expertise with client engagement, this role is a key one for the business, supporting the end-to end sales process, driving project conversions, while ensuring smooth handovers to the delivery teams. What you'll be doing: - Preparing cost estimates for repair work (labour, materials & equipment) - Attending strata properties to assess required works - Budgeting, ensuring estimates meet project needs & client expectations - Producing scopes of work - Liaising & consulting with clients, strata managers, insurers & loss adjusters - Identifying & evaluating project risks & cost implications - Coordinating & running the bid process (initial request to final submission) - Reviewing tender docs & preparing bid proposals - Ensuring new clients receive timely and accurate estimates - Working closely with the Sales/BD Teams team to convert opportunities - Contributing technical expertise, pricing strategy & solution design - Keeping job tracking system up to date - Negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive prices - Maintaining a database of historical costs & pricing info - Actively monitoring quote success rates & gross margins - Ensuring work complies with building codes, insurance policies & obligations - Attend industry events to promote the company & build relationships What you'll offer: - 5 years’ estimating experience (ideally some commercial or resi apartments) - Defect/repair experience (highly desirable) - Proven project management & sales skills. - Deep understanding of construction processes, structural complexity, techniques, terminology & costs - Strong relationship building & communication skills - Ability to negotiate a win/win outcome - Proven ability to deliver multiple outcomes to agreed timeframes. - Ability to proactively drive an outcome with stakeholders Why you'll love it: (Just some of the reasons) - Well-liked builder with enviable management - Stable pipeline of work for the next several years - Enviable culture with high stability & growth - Variety of team, development & company event options - Central location close to great shops, cafes & transport - Paid gym membership - Free onsite staff parking - EAP (Employee Assistance Program) Access - Generous Parental leave conditions Sound good?
