If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you The Criminal Records branch is a unique part of the Australian Federal Police. The branch consists of two highly collaborative areas, National Police Checks and the Response and Data Integrity team. There are four key roles (below) across the two teams. As a team member you are expected to commit to achieving the goals of the team, working collaboratively and supporting your team to meet challenges and develop as a cohort. The teams function contribute to keeping Australia safe, it provides the National Police Checking service as well as providing criminal history information to policing jurisdictions and other Government and prosecuting agencies. This role provides high level support to the team and delivers services to legally entitled entities, including AFP appointees, members of the public, other police services, Government and private clients and Government regulatory agencies. In this role you will provide guidance and advice on the application of legislation, including spent conviction legislation where relevant, in determining the retention and release of AFP records and holdings of various purposes. You will be required to contribute to the achievement of outcomes in accordance with the regulatory framework, the AFP Code of Conduct and the AFP Governance Instruments.
